It’s funny, people always used to ask Omni to make an e-mail client. Now it’s Panic. Honestly, guys: whoever did it would lose money.

Look, here’s the deal with competing with bundled software: You innovate. Apple likes what it sees. They copy you. You lose.

If someone can point me to Firefox or Camino or Chrome’s revenue model, I might make an exception.

Meanwhile, you have to implement every feature THEY implement in their product, AND add new ones, or else users ding you. That’s no fun.

I’ve written a mail client for Cocoa. I wrote the first newsreader for Cocoa. I wrote the first web browser for Cocoa. None are sold today.
